Frogtown Curling Club is excited to partner with CurlingStadium.com for live streaming of all games on every sheet. With the installation of 4 cameras on each sheet and an upgrade to Verizon wireless internet every league game* is now automatically scheduled to stream at https://youtube.com/@frogtowncurling. Streams will stay online so you can relive that one game that one time for all time (or some time until you forget or we have to remove it to comply with some unknown YouTube limit).
Be sure to visit the channel and subscribe. Tell your teammates to subscribe. Tell your opponents to subscribe. Then tell your friends and family to visit and subscribe. We're looking for 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of viewing to unlock the next level of YouTube-ness for our club. (So, you know, you can also just run those streams on mute in the background.)
*Automatic streams for Sun 3pm, 5:30pm, and 8pm leagues and Mon-Thur 6pm and 8:15pm leagues. Friday leagues and bonspiels need to be started by the manager due to varying schedules. Internet connectivity and unexpected network issues may cause interrupted streams. Please do not stream games via the club WiFi network- this will cause stability issues.
If you are at the club we are also streaming the cameras directly to TVs in the club room, bypassing the internet. We still encourage you to go out in the arena and cheer on everyone, but now you can keep tabs on games while you warm up during your next bonspiel.
For those wondering about the details- all cameras, network gear, and configuration is provided by CurlingStadium on contract. Low voltage cabling was hired out and camera and TV installation was completed by the volunteer work crew. Our thanks to everyone involved to make this next generation club feature come to life.
