Time to stretch those curling muscles… we’re just under 10 weeks from throwing the first rocks! Before the ice is in, here is some important info every Frogtown member needs to know. Take a moment now to get ready for the season ahead, and don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Annual Meeting on October 8.
Team Payment Due August 28
Returning team registrations and moves are finalized, and team payment is due by August 28th. We've recently emailed all teams that haven't yet paid. If you're unsure whether your team has made the payment, please contact the person who submitted your commitment form.
The few open league spots from non-returning or unpaid teams will be made available online for open registration on Sept 3 at 8:00am. If you haven't touched base with your team recently, now is the perfect time to check in.
Individual Membership - Register Now
Every team member needs an individual club membership to hit the ice this season. Don’t wait—log on to the site today and read the Member News article on registering and secure your membership! Be sure to check out the option for bundling a USA Curling Membership as well, details and benefit information is online.

The Frogtown Five: Competitive 5 & Under Bonspiel
We're excited to announce a new competitive bonspiel, “The Frogtown Five”, on November 15-17 for teams with 5 or fewer years of curling experience. This event is applying to be a qualifier for the USA Curling National 5 & Under Championship and is limited to 30 teams
We're expecting participants from across the US, but we've reserved 2 spots for Frogtown teams before registration opens on 8/26. The Happy Hour League: New for 2024-25!
With over 90% of Frogtown teams returning, it can be challenging to find new opportunities to curl or introduce friends and family to the sport at our club. To address this, we're introducing a Monday fun league at 4:00 PM, with games wrapped up at 5:30 PM.
This 13-week, 13-team open league will run from November 18 to February 24. The team fee is $380, and full individual club membership is required. Please note that this fun league doesn’t track standings and is not part of the club championship series. Open registration and additional details will be available on our website soon.
Homer Simpson League
This Tuesday 10am Leisure Fun League is returning for its second season. This is a drop-in league with teams and game format determined each week. Fees are $15 per member or $20 per non member (plus tax), or get a season pass for $120 (plus tax). Details are on the website and season pass sales will be available soon.
Volunteers Needed
It takes a lot to make Frogtown run and we’re looking for members interested in taking on some key roles. These are just a few of the roles we're looking to fill, so keep an eye out for more opportunities in the future.
- Club Registration: Work with our current registration team on league and membership registration management. You’ll be part of a supported team in learning the process and supporting records management and membership follow-up.
- Club Communications: Help craft and publish emails and web articles to keep club members in the know.
- Member Bonspiel Organizer: Help make this amazing event happen. We have lots of support and guidance available, but we’re looking for someone to help captain the ship.
- Frogtown Mascot Crew: Our giant frog Biff is getting some attention. We’ve been invited to the Twin Cities Marathon Mascot Invitational on 10/4. We’re looking for someone to be the frog and for handlers to keep them from running into walls.
As always- each of our bonspiels also need volunteer support the weekend of the event. Keep an eye out on Discord and at the club for those opportunities. The early season Spiel of the Dead, Pride Spiel, and Frogtown Five will all be looking to quickly fill volunteer slots to make the weekend smooth.
