On November 7, 2023 the Frogtown board voted unanimously to join the United States Curling Association (USA Curling) as a Member Club. This vote came after much thought, discussion, and consideration of feedback submitted by our members. Changes and improvements to the USA Curling’s membership model, fees, and mission focus were all drivers in this consideration. Changes in the mission and focus closely align with our own; to grow, strengthen, and advocate for the sport of Curling in the United States, by prioritizing accessibility and programmatic development from grassroots to podium.
Individual USA Curling Membership
Individual membership to USA Curling is part of a new membership model introduced by USA Curling. This is an optional, but highly encouraged, membership. Each Frogtown club member who also holds a USA Curling Individual Membership provides Frogtown a voting voice for USA Curling decisions.
By becoming an individual member of USA Curling, you contribute to national initiatives that foster the growth of new and existing clubs, enhance general curling opportunities, and bolster competitive curling across all levels.
Your individual membership also provides you with supplemental individual insurance that covers you no matter where you are curling. Check out the USA Curling Insurance page for coverage details and program guides.
Joining USA Curling as an Individual
In the 2024-25 season we are offering an easy, discounted Basic Membership option as part of our club membership process. You can select to add the USA Curling Basic Membership during your annual Frogtown Curling Club membership registration. We will handle the process of registering your membership with USA Curling and transferring the fee. This discount is ONLY available at the time of your Frogtown membership purchase.

Club Benefits
In the time since joining USA Curling, a few of the tangible benefits that have been realized include:
- USA Curling
- Provided new Marco hacks which are now installed in our club. These are the same hacks used in national events.
- Began having High Performance program practice sessions at our club during early weekday mornings. They are paying us for the use of our facility.
- Arranged and sponsored the COVID vaccine clinic at our Pride Spiel. We were paid to provide this as well.
- Initiated a "Club Council" forum providing monthly connections and feedback opportunities with USA Curling and member clubs around the country. Two Frogtown representatives routinely attend and report to the board.
